Social Movements & Justice
The course focuses on theories and practices of social change, as well as on the purposes,
organization and strategies of social movements by marginalized populations such as people living
in poverty, Indigenous people, people of colour, gays/lesbians/transgendered/bisexual people, two-
spirited people, elderly people, people with disabilities and people in less wealthy countries.
Prerequisite: SK311, SK312, SK313, SK314, SK315,
SK321, SK322, SK399 and Year 4 status in the Bachelor of Social Work program.
